Alaska Mileage Plan Introduces “Elite Leave”: Following in the footsteps of British Airways, Alaska Airline will allow their elite members to extend their elite status by a year when they have a baby. This is a nice touch as no doubt travel plans change with a new baby. It almost makes it “unfair” to meet the requirements to maintain elite status. I know, first world problems, but it’s smart PR moves like these that makes airlines more likeable than others.
