Awesome Sweet Spot to Africa:  Traveling to Africa is expensive, whether you’re paying in cash or in miles.  Lucky for us there is an awesome sweet spot to fly from the US to Africa for 50K miles round trip in BUSINESS CLASS!  Yes you read that right!  Also if you stay 24 hours in Senegal, you can venture on to South Africa for 25K more miles.

Hyatt Hotel Category Changes:  It’s always interesting to see when hotel loyalty programs shuffle around categories for some of their properties.  Some properties rise in category while some fall, changing how many points are required per night.  Every once in a while they change categories and we can find some rare gems for pretty cheap.  Here are the recent changes for Hyatt.

Save Money on Upcoming Hotel Stays:  Newegg is offering 20% off of their Hotels.com gift cards.  This could save you quite a bit of money if you find a great discounted hotel on Hotels.com.  If you’re not concerned with accumulating hotel stays with a particular chain, this is a great way to save money.

United Announces Route to Tahiti:  This is awesome news!  There are limited airlines flying to Tahiti, making it tough to score award flights to French Polynesia.  This gives us miles junkies another option for flying to paradise for almost free!

Please Transfer Your Virgin America Points to Alaska Airlines:  A while back we shared an article stating that your points would automatically transfer to Alaska Airlines.  While that is still true, you will not have access to your miles for 1 week if Alaska Airlines transfers them automatically for you.  If you are needing to use your miles in the near future, it would be wise for you to transfer them yourself.

New York to Santiago, Chile starting at $1,100 R/T in Business Class:  Aeromexico is out with some awesome business class fares from New York to Santiago, Chile.  For $1,100 you could fly this route and depending on the plane, you could even score a lie flat seat.  If you credit this flight to your Delta account, you could earn a bunch of miles towards status.

New Amex Offer with Marriott:  As the Marriott/SPG merger moves along, we heard about them offering new cards with two banks in the near future.  Now we’re seeing some Amex offers offering Membership Rewards points with some spending at Marriott.

Who Wants To Go To Hawaii For Almost Free?:  Many of our readers have expressed a lot of interest in wanting to use miles and points for a Hawaiian vacation.  It’s easier than you think to get there and stay there for very little money out of pocket.  With the current cold snap, I wouldn’t mind being in Hawaii right now!
